The George Lens is a piece of technology of unknown origins. It is named after human explorer Herbert George, who supposedly found the device on a derelict spacecraft. When activated, the George Lens allows the viewer to look selectively backwards through time. For example, if one was to view a museum exhibit through the George Lens and set the dial back for ten years, one would not see how that object looked ten years ago. One would instead see what was in that same area in space at that time.
